WELCOME!

This is the homepage of the Waterloo region's very own tournament of the Canadian Improv Games. This page is your guide to the Games: what improv is, how to get involved, and the state of our tournament. Please feel free to take a look around and see what it's all about!  Use the blue navigation menu below to see what's here.

Are you an improv alumnus?  You can still be involved!  Email us to help out locally, or try the national office if you're leaving Southwestern Ontario.

What are you doing for the summer?  For the third straight year, the Canadian Improv Games will be holding the Canadian Improv Games Summer Camp.  It was a huge success in the last two years . . . check it out!

WHAT IS IMPROV?

If you've seen "Whose line is it anyway?" or "The Devil's Advocates" then you are already familiar with Improv. But you may not be familiar with the Canadian Improv Games. In the Canadian Improv Games, there are five events, of which a team will choose four to compete in. High school teams from all across the country participate in the games, and for the last 20 years, the games have just been getting better and better. We're expanding everywhere, and the Waterloo Regional Games are just the most recent addition.

Why get involved with the Canadian Improv Games? Here are five great reasons to participate.
